I Went Viral and Sold Lots of Bleeplers

Howdy, folks!

I’m overdue for an update. Several weekends ago I was vending at TORG Market in Sandusky, Ohio when two lads approached me with a camcorder and inquired about my wares. The following weekend I was vending at Too Many Games in the Philadelphia Expo Center and my online sales starting to explode. Those mad lads captured the magic of LoBlast and effluviated it unto the world!

Last I checked, this video has had over 2.8 million views. It remains the primary suspect for a recent surge of sales (also shout out to John Riggs for vidding my booth mad props good looking). In a typical month, LoBlast feels blessed to engage 5 or more transactions. This recent deluge pushed over 200 people to open their wallets online. I found myself responsible for 133 assembled bleeplers and 81 kits among many other things.

I was really only stocked up on bleepler parts according to the LoBlast convention schedule. So I ordered enough stuff to build 200 more. Then I assembled and shipped what I could. I had filament to make red, green, and blue bleeplers but was out of black PCBs. I had meadow and purple PCBs, but no forest green or purple filament. Had I waited a couple more days to see how sales were gonna go, I would have bought enough stuff to builld 500 more bleeplers. These are the good problems I have been told exist.

I am now in production mode daily for the foreseeable future, although the impending once-in-a-lifetime wedding celebration next week full of family not seen in ages may dampen the rate of output from LoBlast at that time. I also agreed to finish fixing the back deck before this Friday two months ago.

I started a video about all of this. I am not good at video. Video defies me. Stupid, insubordinate video. But maybe I’ll finish said video before the moon dies.
